Meet The Team
Founder and Pilot
Sam Head
Sam was once one of the UKs youngest pilot last year, passing his skills test at just 17 years old. Sam wanted to make a difference in the aviation industry. Being so young, Sam understands the barriers in this industry that stop so many great workers from pursuing a career in Aviation. Sam joined the RAF Air Cadet age 14, and during that time has achieved a variety of different things including flying in an RAF Grob Tutor and gaining qualifications in Leadership and radio.
His Aviation journey started at the well renowned Cambridge Gliding Centre at age 14 where he got to a solo standard of gliding before moving into the world of powered flying at North Weald where he started his PPL at the young age of 15.

Sam has set up Project Aviation to guide people in the right direction towards a career in Aviation and to help overcome the barriers that stop so many from entering this fantastic industry. Sam feels as if there is a plethora of misinformation out there about careers in Aviation. Sam is here to set the facts straight and help make it a smooth transition into the working world or Aviation.
